Following Hurricane Irma, Airline Sector Still Moves Higher

Seeking Alpha reports that following Hurricane Irma’s decent on Florida and the Caribbean in September, the airline sector surprisingly still saw a solid bounce. However, as the article notes, “despite the sense of relief in the air,” most analysts still foresee an impact on fourth quarter travel demand to the Caribbean. The U.S. Global Jets ETF (JETS) invests in the global airline industry, holding a handful of the airline stocks that saw upward movements during this time.
