How Will Infrastructure Investing Impact Transportation ETFs?

“Transports have been more or less an underperformer since 2015,” said Ari Wald of Oppenheimer in a CNBC interview. “[I]n recent years, have been kind of [flat] on a relative basis.” However, ETF Trends suggests the transportation industry, which includes airlines, may be showing signs of a rebound. As the U.S. economy and infrastructure improve, business and leisure travel could also increase.

The U.S. Global Jets ETF (JETS) is one way investors can gain exposure to the global travel industry. JETS has an “emphasis on domestic carriers, along with global aircraft manufacturers and airport companies.”
